We can’t say they invented the street fair. But Jupiter-based entrepreneurs Howard and Debbie Alan have produced their signature shows in downtown communities throughout the country for 35 years.
This season, along with their American Craft Endeavors counterpart, Howard Alan Events will produce more than 80 shows — most of which will take place in Florida.
This season’s lineup includes:
27th annual Downtown Delray Beach Craft Festival — Sept. 10-11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. 330 East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. Expect to see 100 craft artisans from around the state. Free.
35th annual Las Olas Art Fair — Oct. 15-16, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 620 Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Ranked as one of the top 100 art fairs in the nation, this free, two-day event kicks off the art festival season with nearly 150 artists.
23rd annual Downtown Stuart Craft Festival — Oct. 15-16, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. both days. 26 SW Osceola St., Stuart. There will be 100+ craft artisans from around the state during this free, two-day event. A green market with handmade soaps, edibles joins the creative crafts available for purchase.
20th annual Juno Beach Craft Festival — Nov. 12-13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 14200 U.S. HIghway 1. Artisans travel from around the country to attend this event.
12th annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival — Nov. 19-20, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. The Square, 700 S. Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach. The 100 top-vetted artists.
22nd annual Downtown Delray Beach Art Festival on 4th — Dec. 3-Dec. 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 401 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. Photography, ceramics, fiber art, glasswork, paintings, sculpture, mixed media and more are showcased by the artists themselves.
35th annual Las Olas Art Fair (Part I) — Jan. 7-8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 620 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. More than 250 artists from around the world line the west end of Las Olas with handmade creations.
34th annual Downtown Delray Beach Festival of the Arts — Jan. 14-15, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. One of the largest art festivals in the nation returns along Atlantic Avenue. Nearly 300 artists bring life-sized sculpture, handcrafted jewelry, wearable art, paintings, music and more to this free, two-day art experience.
22nd annual Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts — Feb. 4-5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 11954 SE Dixie Highway, Hobe Sound. The free, outdoor event features hundreds of gallery-style booths filled with every medium of fine art lining Dixie Highway from Bridge Road to Venus Street. Also includes live entertainment and this year’s return of an interactive kid’s zone.
Third annual Downtown Delray Beach Craft Festival — Feb. 18-19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 330 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. The newest high season show in Delray Beach offers seasonal greenmarket creations, one-of-a-kind jewelry, homemade pet accessories, original art and more funky and fresh artistic delights..
33rd annual Downtown Stuart Art Festival — Feb. 25-26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 26 SW Osceola St., Stuart. Residents and visitors spend hours outside in the beautiful, Florida weather appreciating larger-than-life sculptures, glittering glass, jewelry, photography and more from nearly 200 national artists in this juried showcase.
35th annual Las Olas Art Fair (Part II) — March 4-5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, 620 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. The Las Olas Art Fair continues, offering collectors even more choices from among the 200-plus different artists attending. Artwork features a range of media, including life-size and ornamental sculptures, Art Deco paintings and mixed media, glasswork, pottery, handmade clothing and more.
33rd annual ArtFest by the Sea — March 11-12, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, 14200 U.S. Highway 1, Juno Beach. This event also features a full green market of handmade soaps, edibles, live plants and more from nearly 300 artists, artisans and creatives.
18th annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts and Crafts — March 18-19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 2874 N University Drive, Coral Springs. The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts has grown considerably over the years into a twoday celebration of arts and culture with a fine art show, contemporary craft festival, theatrical performances and full line-up of live music. Free parking and shuttle service available at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts during the hours of the show on Saturday and Sunday.
35th annual Boca Fest — March 25-26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 5150 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton. The show that started it all. Boca Center is filled with more than 100 of the nation’s top fine artists, featuring an array of high-end works, including sculpture, paintings, mixed media, hand-forged jewelry, potter, fiber and more.
26th annual Downtown Stuart Craft Festival — March 25-26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. 26 SW Osceola St., Stuart. This event brings together some of the best crafters in the nation with paintings, wooden sculptures, ceramics, one-of-a-kind jewelry, handmade baskets and more. A green market complements the weekend with plants, dips and homemade soaps.
13th annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival — April 1-2, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. both days. The Square, 700 S. Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach. Over 100 contemporary fine artists return to The Square. The free, outdoor gallery style stroll includes larger-thanlife sculpture, glasswork, original artisan created jewelry, paintings, mixed media, photography and fiber art.
